Nottingham City Homes are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Based at Harvey Road, Bilborough, Nottingham NG8 3BB

We are recruiting a suitably experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyor to work within our Maintaining Decency Programme work stream for Kitchen & Bathrooms and Roofing Works. You will join the commercial services team to undertake monthly valuations and cover a range of properties. We will depend on you to identify and communicate any commercial risks and go out of your way to deliver outstanding client satisfaction.

You will be flexible enough to know when change is needed, and keep a close rein on variations to contracts to keep the project on track, submit regular reports for every aspect of the project including sub contracts, materials, contingencies etc., while complying with financial regulations. You’ll have a knack for communicating complex or sensitive issues to a range of customers and underpin this with well-reasoned arguments to convince and persuade, where necessary, to achieve a win-win solution

Your experience in Construction and Housing Works and will include at least 3 years’ experience working on a Decent Homes Kitchen and Bathroom/ Roofing Contract Programme.

With expertise in managing, monitoring and delivering projects, alongside exceptional skills in budgetary profiling and cost control, as well as being able to estimate your own projects and deliver against targets.

You will bring an understanding of social housing refurbishment works from inception to completion and hold an appropriate qualification (degree in Quantity Surveying, HNC in Building Studies, MCIOB, RICS etc.)
