We are looking to appoint two permanent, highly experienced Senior Construction Managers for our Commercial Services team.  Reporting to the Head of Commercial Services, this is a pivotal role which provides a fantastic opportunity for you to help shape our organisation, whilst offering enormous variety, scope and responsibility to lead, develop, and promote new construction opportunities for the Company. 

You will be responsible for leading on the delivery of construction contracts (both new build and refurbishment), from inception to completion/handover, for the Commercial Services team. You will be required to be an active presence on the construction sites and regularly report on progress of the programme and other key KPI’s, including any risks or opportunities and be accountable for effective resource management reporting in to the Head of Commercial Services and other relevant stakeholders.

We are in a time of significant business growth, so your hands-on management style will be put to good use developing the service, both strategically and operationally whilst leading the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects.  On a day-to-day basis, you will ensure that the service is delivering a first class building and construction provision that is focused on cost saving and continuous improvement initiatives, whilst being mindful of the legal framework relating to housing services and new build projects.

Your commercial acumen and knowledge within construction, tendering, bid writing, and financial business modelling within a construction environment will all support you in achieving success within this position, as well as a thorough understanding of on-site health and safety. Having clear and confident communication skills, with a flexible approach to problem solving and providing excellent value for money solutions, will be key to your success.

Ideally, you will hold a relevant professional qualification, but more importantly you will have experience within a similar role and sharing our values is something we as a business prioritise.
