THE ROLE:

To work with and support the project manager on the design process of building projects for new acquisitions and refurbs. The person in this role will be confident with independent working, well organised, pride themselves in high standards and attention to detail and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collating and organising technical building information
  • Liaising with design team as well as external customers
  • Working with local authorities to on compliance standards

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE RELEVANT TO THE ROLE:

  • Experience working with AutoCAD
  • Experience using Sketchup preferable but not essential
  • Working Knowledge of UK Buildings Regulations advantageous
  • A strong interest in architecture, mathematics, drawing and design, with an excellent eye for detail
  • Art and design skills to complement technical know-how
  • Strong communication
  • An analytical mind with strong problem-solving ability
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • High levels of creativity, imagination and vision
  • The ability to work well under time and budget pressures.

This role would suit an Architectural Assistant with at least 2 years’ experience in practice.
