About the role

BWB Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our Transport and Infrastructure Planning team, based in our Birmingham Office.

The role of Senior Engineer would be to supervise and manage aspects of a number of projects. Additionally, a Senior Engineer would be sometimes required to deputise for the Team Leader and supervise and assist employees in the Team.

You will play a role in the technical delivery of the Transport and Infrastructure Planning Service. Skills in CAD, road safety engineering, junction design and assessment will be a bonus. Typical software packages we use include PICADY, ARCADY, LinSig, and TRICS.

About the team

Within the Transport and Infrastructure Group, our Planning Team offers a wide range of services to complement the activities of the Group and the company as a whole, as well as providing bespoke services to our Clients.

We take pride in successfully working with Clients on a range of projects, big and small. This ranges from new settlements with thousands of dwellings for large developers to a handful for small landowners, rail freight terminals, office developments, industrial estates, sports grounds and other leisure uses, medical centres, churches and country parks.

  • Contribute to the achievement of Company and Service objectives.
  • To develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the Company, clients and suppliers.
  • To promote the Company and its services to others.
  • To contribute to personal and collective safety.
  • Demonstrate willingness and take a proactive approach to ongoing CPD, such as attendance at courses and professional meetings.
  • To share both knowledge and experience with other team members.
  • To provide support and assistance to the line manager as appropriate.
