About the role

BWB Consulting has an exciting role for an Account Manager (Associate Director level) to lead and grow a team in our London office.

The role responsibilities will include management of the T&I Planning team and its financial performance, and technical delivery on T&I Planning projects or the T&I Planning components of multi-disciplinary projects. There would also be an additional emphasis on supporting colleagues in the London office to continue raising BWB’s profile locally, and the building and developing of Client relationships with the aim to build and expand on our current portfolio.

Overall the role responsibilities will include Client and team management in the provision of proposals, project planning, management of resources, reporting and financial performance. A collaborative approach to working with colleagues in the London office and wider T&I Planning team and BWB’s new Rail Group will be required.

About the team

BWB has an established T&I Planning team, comprising of 17 individuals across our offices. It provides comprehensive transport planning consultancy services focused on meeting the planning related transport challenges associated with regeneration, infrastructure and other development projects. We work across the transport infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, health and retail sectors and our Clients typically include well-known national housebuilders, local developers, contractors and public sector bodies.

About you

The requirements and demands of this important role are such that the Account Manager will be expected to consistently display the following personal attributes and skills:

  • Commercially aware with effective influencing and negotiating skills, as well as an aptitude to develop their own Client base
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different circumstances
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
  • A ‘self-starter’ with drive, positivity and enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed
  • A visible and participative manager, willing and able to take responsibility for the technical and financial performance of the team
  • An ability to build and develop a strong team through effective mentoring and managerial support
  • Technical independence within the field of T&I Planning, with excellent experience of working on high profile schemes in the London and South East in particular.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, acts with consistency and integrity at all times.
